The role

Location: Cardiff

Contract Type: Full-time

Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Vacancy Type: Legal Assistant initially with potential to progress to running your own cases

Start Date: With Immediate Effect

Salary: Depending on Experience

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Fee Earners and Conveyancing Executives in the department to progress the property transactions including, Leases, the purchase and sale of properties
  • Filing/File Management (including file opening and closing) using case management system.
  • Take and accurately relay messages and make telephone calls as required
  • Pro-actively update agents and clients on the progress of matters
  • Order searches
  • Drafting documents with fee earner guidance
  • Preparation and submission of post-completion formalities
  • Preparing files for completion
  • Post completion duties including Land Transaction Tax returns, Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and HM Land Registry applications
