Why Robertsons

Serious legal work, handled with care and discretion.

Our roots are in Wales, but we act for clients across England and Wales. What's kept clients with us, many for generations, is straightforward: we listen carefully, advise honestly, and never lose sight of the people behind the legal problem.

Our Family Law team is ranked by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, with Law Society accreditations in Children Law, Family Law, Advanced Family Law and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme. We also hold Lexcel, the Law Society's standard for excellence in legal practice, across the firm.

They listened to our situation, understood what mattered, and got it done quietly and quickly.

Quick answers

Common questions, answered simply

Where are you based?

Our head office is at 6 Park Place, Cardiff, CF10 3RS, opposite the New Theatre. We also have offices in Swansea, Barry, Newport and Bristol — appointments at Newport and Bristol are arranged in advance. Find your nearest office.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across South Wales and the South West from five offices, and act for clients throughout England and Wales. Much of our work is handled by phone, video and email, so you don't need to live near an office to instruct us. More about the firm.

How much do you charge?

Most matters are charged at an hourly rate, and we give you a clear written estimate at the outset so you can decide before committing to anything. For some services, including conveyancing, we publish pricing on the relevant service pages.

Do you offer fixed fees?

For most services we quote in writing once we understand what's involved, rather than publishing fixed fees — the right figure depends on your circumstances. Wills are the exception: we offer fixed fees for single and mirror wills. See our wills service.

How quickly can I speak to someone?

Request a callback and we'll get back to you as soon as we can during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. If it's urgent, call your nearest office directly — every office number is listed on our contact page.

However we can help, let's talk.
