About Helen
Helen is a Director and head of the Residential Conveyancing department. She works alongside Managing Director Chris Barber in the management of the firm, combining a senior leadership role with a busy conveyancing practice.
Helen attended university in Swansea and completed her legal training in Bristol, where she gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She has been working in property since 2001, initially qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2009 before cross-qualifying as a solicitor in 2010. Before joining Robertsons in 2021, she was head of the residential property division at Hugh James. She was promoted to Director in December 2023.
Helen has wide-reaching expertise across all areas of residential property, from sales, purchases and equity release to high-net-worth properties. She has handled specialist technical transactions, including the acquisition of property for Celtic Manor, and is recognised as one of the leading residential property practitioners in South Wales. Helen achieved the Law Society’s Residential Property Advanced Accreditation in 2024.
Helen is also an engaged voice on the future of the profession, having spoken on legal technology and the impact of AI on conveyancing at the LegalTech Wales Roadshow.
